Congratulations to more of our athletes:
1. Ger Lupini- Overall Female Winner at the 3Disciplines, Starkerman Duathlon. She was 16th OVERALL finisher, first OVERALL female and set a new course record by FIVE minutes! She’s off to a great start in prep for Du Worlds.
2. Brian MacIlvan-Our future professional competed at Memphis in May and was in the top 8% overall, including current professionals.  It was a hot day coming from the Midwest spring.  He finished the Olympic distance race in 2:03 on an extended run course.
3. Chad Whistler-Finished the HIM portion of the Triple T race in Ohio for his first HIM in preparation for IM Louisville coming up in August. Great job on his first open water swim race.

4. Chad Stearns and Eric Buckhave(first time HIM’er) both had great season starts at the Monroe Racing for Recovery HIM, in light of the horrible weather the night before and brutal winds on race day.

5. Joe Leto- At the end of a big training block in preparation for IMLO, ran the Bayshore Half Marathon in 1:29.  Excellent!

More Great Starts

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Congratulations continue to go out to:
Ger Lupini- First overall Female at the Dooby Du(athlon) last weekend in a time of 1:23:48. This was almost a minute faster than last year’s time. She’s on great form for Du Nationals next weekend.
Chad Stearns: Another personal best at the Loons Lake 6k.  9th out of 37 in his AG with an average pace of 7:45/mile.   This is quite an improvement considering as he points out “2 years ago I was a 10+minute/mile guy.”

Adrian Fear:  Adrian was a client of ours last year in her first year of road cycling.  She quickly advanced to the Wolverine Sports Club elite level team and just took two first place finishes at the AAVC Spring Fling (criterium) Series this month.   Quite an advancement, considering she was brand new to the sport last year.

Congratulations to GRC Athletes

Eventhough it’s the dreary time of the year, we’ve had a few athletes achieve some nice accomplishments in local activities:

- Ger L- Won Overall Female Masters in the Superbowl 5k.   Even with a 20 second improvement over last year with tired legs getting ready for Du Nationals coming up.

-Chad S.- Overall personal PR at the Winterlaufe 8k.    (He even beat his wife for bragging rights in their household!)

-Jane S.- She is a huge proponent of her local tri club, “FAST” out of Livonia.   Jane was unanimously elected “Member of the Year!”   Congrats to Jane.
