Big Shoes to Fill
I love this picture as a reminder that kids respond to our actions more than our words. The great thing about having kids is they give us a direct reflection on who we are and the message we put out. My caption to this picture is “Them are big shoes to fill.”
Hopefully, by now everyone has had a chance to get their bikes out on the road. If not, why not? And shame on you. I’ve had the opportunity to get 2 back to back weeks of 100 miles in. While I’ve definitely enjoyed it, I’m feeling the fatigue. Thank goodness for recovery weeks. Disney, Goofy and Marathon Strategy
Posted by: | Comments2010 started out with Coach Lori and myself heading to Disney to run the half and full marathons. Our training had progressed nicely this fall and with the relatively mild winter we’ve had, almost all the long runs have been done outside. Except for the week leading up to the race, the Coach has spent alot of time in the woods preparing with the long runs. After having run the race, I was disappointed not having signed up for the Goofy Challenge (running both the half and full marathons). For $300+ you get both finishers medals and an additional medal for completing the Goofy. They had over 7000 people run both. Amazing! Read More→
Ironman and 2010
